Soft skills webinar - Sustainable Blue Economy in the EU

MarTe will host its first soft skills webinar focusing on the sustainable blue economy in the European Union context. The session will bring together experts from Estonia and Latvia to discuss how blue economy policy, marine technologies, ports, digital solutions and offshore wind are shaping future developments in the Baltic Sea region.

Topics will include:

  • the EU approach to the blue economy,
  • the position of the Baltic Sea region in the blue economy,
  • strategic and emerging marine technologies,
  • ports as future renewable energy and technology hubs,
  • digital technologies in the blue economy,
  • offshore wind harvesting and storage solutions.

Speakers include:

  • Anni Hartikainen, Association of Estonian Marine Industries
  • Kaspars Liepiņš, Freeport of Ventspils Authority
  • Kristjan Tabri, Tallinn University of Technology
  • Rivo Uiboupin, Tallinn University of Technology
  • Vladislavs Bezrukovs, Ventspils University of Applied Sciences
  • Tiina-Maria Araja, Estonian Environmental Investment Centre

The event is primarily intended for the project consortium, but Community of Practice members and other interested participants are also welcome to join. It offers a valuable opportunity to gain a compact overview of current developments, strengthen understanding of the blue economy in the Baltic Sea region, and connect with others working in the field.
