MarTe invites innovators, SMEs, startups, and stakeholders from across the Baltic Sea region to participate in our upcoming Open Call for BlueInnovation. This initiative offers unique opportunities for collaboration, funding support, and technical assistance to develop and implement cutting-edge marine and maritime technologies.

MarTe Open Call for BlueInnovation targets early-stage ideas at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3, with the goal of advancing them to TRL 6 by the end of the support period. We welcome applications from companies working on blue innovation, hybrid uses of marine areas, and emerging maritime technologies that generate positive environmental impact.

A total of 6 projects will be funded through the call, with each project eligible to receive up to €60,000 for prototyping, testing, and further development.

In addition to financial support, selected projects will benefit from a personalized mentorship programme, which will help to develop a financial strategy and a sustainability plan.

The detailed terms and thematic focuses of the Open Call for BlueInnovation are currently being developed and will be announced during the course of the MarTe project. The call is set to launch in early 2027.

The Open Call for BlueInnovation is coordinated by the Estonian Environmental Investment Centre.
